Why are we bringing up $300,000k?

This website is focused on the Levy that is
currently on the November 2024 ballot.

We feel Responsible Spending is imperative.

The North Kitsap School District Board of Directors chose to let the former Superintendent resign at the end of June, 2024, with pay. This former Superintendent was not discharged for cause. To reiterate, the Superintendent resigned.

$300k Issue

Former Superintendent Receives Over $300,000 from NKSD

The former Superintendent separated employment from NKSD in June of 2024, yet will still receive money in monthly installments all the way through January 2025. The agreement is for her to get $23,763.83 per month: “(total of $23,763.83 per month) for seven (7) months following the effective date of her resignation.”

The “over $300,000” is calculated in part is taking the amount in the agreement of $23,763.83 and multiplying by the referenced 7 months ( July, Aug, Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec, Jan) = $23,763.83 x 7 = $166,346.81

The amount calculated also includes what the Superintendent received from February 2024 to June 2024, as follows:

February - $34,280.66

March– $22,358.26

April — $21,496.74

May – $22,358.27 + $861.53

June - $28,319.48

Total - $129,674.95
